The sensor I have now will only report accurately when perfectly level.  I will need to get a variation of this product that has tilt compensation (unless I care to save a few bucks and try to reinvent it with cheaper parts - no thanks!).  I'm a little annoyed at myself for not coming to this realization sooner as there are some video tutorials that are quick to point out this limitation of the cheaper sensor.  Oh well!
